Ten Russian sex ‘trainers’ to be deported

Women, who learnt ways to get wealthy men to marry them, were arrested on Sunday at the “graduation” ceremony for 43 people in a hotel room. The school fee was 45,000 baht (US$ 1,431).

Bangkok (AsiaNews/Agencies) – Thai immigration authorities plan to deport and blacklist ten Russian nationals involved in the sex trade in the seaside resort city of Pattaya, on the country’s eastern coast.

The defendants, who remain in custody of Pattaya police, have been charged with working without a permit and staying in the country illegally, said Lieutenant Colonel Thawatchai Nongbua, deputy police chief in Buri Chon.

The Russians were arrested in a raid on Sunday as they handed out certificates in sexual skills to 43 people in a hotel room in Pattaya after an informer tipped off police about a group of Russian nationals running sex courses in Pattaya, said Lieutenant Colonel Dulyapat Detpornchayasin, deputy superintendent at the Special Branch Bureau’s General Staff Division.

The investigation by Thai police found that a Russian couple, who were among those arrested, had set up an “Institute for Sex Science” in Thailand and were using a Pattaya hotel room to teach sex skills to other Russians.

The eight other suspects also worked as trainers, said Police Lt Col Dulyapat. One of them, a Russian woman whose name was withheld, told police that the four-day course cost each trainee 45,000 baht (US$ 1,431). The course taught sexual techniques to delight men.

Prior to the police raid, the trainers brought ten women to Koh Larn, off Pattaya, to take part in a practical course that was broadcast live on social media, Lt Col Dulyapat said.

Afterwards they returned to the hotel, where the “graduation” ceremony was interrupted by police (pictured).
