Agreement between Manila and Washington on civil nuclear power

PHILIPPINES-UNITED STATES
On the sidelines of the APEC summit underway in San Francisco, the United States and the Philippines signed an agreement on Friday that will allow Washington to export nuclear technology and material to Manila, which is exploring the use of nuclear energy to decarbonize and increase energy independence. VIETNAM-CHINA
Vietnam has stepped up dredging and seabed filling work in the Spratly Islands in the South China Sea, creating an additional 330 acres of land since December last year.
