纪念天安门遇难者：香港烛光祈祷（照片）
香港（亚洲新闻）—从今晚当地时间晚八点开始，一年一度的六四烛光祈祷在香港维园举行。一九八九年六月三日至四日夜间，中国人民解放军的坦克和机枪血洗了天安门广场，无数为民主和反腐败而战斗的学生和工人倒在了血泊中，大约二百到两千人被打死。
每年，香港都举行纪念六四屠杀的活动，数万人聚集在维园参加烛光祈祷。香港是中国唯一一片纪念六四的土地。为此，许多中国年轻持不同政见者们专门赶到香港参加纪念活动、要求中国实现民主与自由。
今年，天主教徒在维园祈祷前，先行在教区辅理主教、正义与和平负责人夏志诚的带领下举行了祈祷。
