PIME missionaries launch " Japan Emergency Project"
Tokyo (AsiaNews) - "Japan Emergency Project - S116" is a plan launched by the missionaries of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions (PIME) who are in Japan.
They write: "Dear friends, thank you for the remembering us in your prayers. Here, for the moment we are all well, despite what was for all of us a “terrible” experience. The earthquake, as you can imagine, was really massive! Certainly the danger of radiation is still high. For the moment we have no intentions of leaving, although the Italian embassy advises otherwise. We'll see how things go.
As for fundraising, we PIME in Japan, have decided to make a contribution to the national Caritas and a contribution to the Diocese of Sendai (the most affected by the disaster).
If there are any other specific needs we will let you know. In the meantime we think it's a good idea to open a Japan Emergency project!”
You too can contribute to the campaign of solidarity by choosing one of the following possibilities to donate - cite reference: S 116 - Japan Emergency
