Our Lady of Sheshan under the snow (photos)
Rome (AsiaNews) - At the end of December, snow fell on the national Marian shrine, which is located near Shanghai.
Chinese friends have shared with us these wonderful photos, full of peace and hope.
The basilica is a permanent destination of pilgrimage and a sign of reconciliation for the Chinese Church, visited by members of both official and underground communities.
On the feast day of Our Lady of Sheshan, 24 May, the World Day of Prayer for the Church in China established by Benedict XVI is celebrated worldwide.
