Al-Baghdadi message: "Volcanoes of jihad" against Jews, crusaders, apostates even in Saudi Arabia
Baghdad (AsiaNews / Agencies) - The Islamic State (IS) yesterday released an audio message in which the "Caliph" Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi calls on all Muslims to "erupt like volcanoes" around the world, despising "Jews, crusaders, apostates, .. devils ", targeting even Saudi Arabia, describing leaders there as the "head of the snake".
The message seems to be an attempt to prove that the "Caliph" is alive, after
some contradictory reports of his death or having been wounded in an air strike.
In a speech lasting 17 minutes, the IS leader makes no reference to
any air strike, but
cites the new alliances between
the IS and fundamentalist
groups in Egypt, Algeria and Libya,
events that occurred after the likely attack.
The recording also mentions President Barack Obama's decision
to increase of the
presence of US troops by 1,500 units, taken after the attack. The message is vitriolic and challenging, assuring
that "the Islamic state is well"
and that the US and its coalition
allies are "terrified,
weak and powerless."
The march of IS "will not stop and continues to expand
according to the will of God."
The "Volcanoes of jihad" must erupt especially on Saudi Arabia, which
is the hearth of the disease
... there will be no security for Salul
[pejorative term that indicates the
Saudi regime]".
With apocalyptic rhetoric, al-Baghdadi says that " Soon, the Jews and Crusaders will be forced to come down to the ground and
send their ground forces to their deaths and destruction".
According to several analysts,
the message, as well as ensuring that
the "Caliph" is alive,
is to show that the fight is at its peak, pushing
for new recruits among young people
around the world.
